Ammar Shahabuddin

Research Assistant, Genomics

Ammar works as a genomics research assistant, involved in the harmonisation and analysis of genomic samples for DPUK. His research work primarily focuses on the utilisation of cohorts’ genomic data and how it can be analysed for risk prediction for dementia causing conditions like Alzheimer’s Disease. This work will be further developed through the creation of a pipeline tool that can be used by researchers in the Data Portal. Prior to joining, he achieved a BSc in Biochemistry at King’s College London and a MSc in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology at the University of Manchester.
