Dr Elen Golightly
DPUK Data Portal Data Scientist and Data Manager
Based in Swansea University within the DPUK Data Portal Team, Elen works as a Data Manager and Scientist. She specializes in managing and safeguarding patient data stored within the Data Portal. Her research includes developing automated methods of detecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII) using Large Language Models. She enjoys coding and using her skills to streamline and automate processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Before joining DPUK, Elen completed her PhD in Theoretical and Computational Astrophysics, which gives her a unique approach to working with healthcare data.
