Differentiation – brain cells
Using the iPSC stem cells, many groups in the Stem Cell Network are focused on the development of several types of brain cells via a complex set of processes known as differentiation.
Each of the labs in the Stem Cell Network has optimised protocols which successfully enable the differentiation of reprogrammed iPSCs towards various brains cells, including: microglia, cortical neurons, astrocytes and dendrocytes, dopaminergic neurons, organoids, and medium spiny neurons.
