Research Fellow, University of Cambridge

I am a research fellow at the University of Cambridge. With a background in mathematical engineering, my research has focused on the synaptopathies underlying epilepsy, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease.

Currently, I am contributing towards precision mechanistic modelling of MEG data as part of the New Therapeutics in Alzheimer's Disease project. This initiative represents a significant step forward in experimental medicine, enhancing our understanding of disease progression and informing the development of new therapeutic approaches.

I've had the privilege of being one of the developers of the Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM) toolbox and have actively participated in its training programmes, including the SPM course in London. My contributions include the development of two forms of multimodal dynamic causal modelling (DCM), (integrating Magnetoencephalography (MEG), functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), and Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) data) as well as adiabatic DCM and multiscale mesoscale models of phase transitions in brain data, all of which provide insights into the neuronal mechanisms underlying neurological disorders.
