Nishat Tahira

Research Assistant - FAST Brain Health Study & Great Minds

Nishat is a Research Assistant at the University of Oxford’s Department of Psychiatry, working with the DPUK on the FAST Brain Health Study and Great Minds. These projects focus on advancing dementia diagnosis and treatment. She is also a part-time Assistant Psychologist at Oxfordshire NHS Talking Therapies, where she utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to support patients experiencing anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions.

Prior to joining DPUK, she worked as a Research Assistant on various neurodegenerative clinical trials at the John Radcliffe Hospital, including studies on Parkinson’s disease, MND, autoimmune diseases and epilepsy. Nishat completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at The Open University. She has a keen interest in neuropsychology and is passionate about pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
