During 2024, Dementias Platform UK has:
- leveraged a further £12.5m in funding for dementia research
- launched the Blood Biomarker Challenge project READ-OUT
- increased our Great Minds register to >11,700
- expanded our trials network to 64 sites
- recruited to 28 studies
- enrolled >1,300 to the FAST multi-modal biomarker study
- reached >2,300 data access requests (>33% year-on-year increase)
- achieved >1,100 Data Portal users in 44 countries
- uploaded 135k brain images, and 30Tb of genomics data, with pre-processing pipelines
- deployed data and metadata-led federated analysis (first in UK)
- enhanced the scope of our Data Portal to include MND, Traumatic Brain Injury, and neurological tissue
