Dr Maura Malpetti

Maura is a Senior Research Associate and Race Against Dementia Alzheimer’s Research UK Fellow at the University of Cambridge.

Her work aims to identify clinically relevant biomarkers and targets for early detection, more accurate prognosis and effective treatments in people living with dementia. Specifically, Maura and her team focus on the application of multimodal neuroimaging techniques (PET and MRI) and blood-based biomarkers to investigate inflammation and synaptic loss in frontotemporal lobar degeneration and related disorders.
