Data science software

Researchers have access to a range of data analysis packages within the Data Portal's remote desktop environment.

Within the Data Portal, researchers will have access to:

  • Pre-loaded software including STATA, SPSS, SAS, R, Eclipse, Design Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, WinSQL, Python, and Office
  • An imaging platform bringing together brain scan data from imaging centres across the UK, which also allows users to upload their own imaging data to the hub
  • A genetics platform that facilitates searching and uploading of genetic results data, as well as cross-cohort comparison studies based on genotypic datasets and linked phenotypic data
  • Integration of users' own approved, anonymised external data
